PU Clear Coat, also known as polyurethane clear coat, is a popular protective finish used in various industries, particularly in furniture applications. This transparent coating provides a glossy and durable layer that enhances the appearance and protects the underlying surface. PU clear coat for high gloss finishes on all woodwork. Apply 2-3 coats for a perfect finish. Recoat time 2-8 hours. It can also be applied to wood stains.

Before applying PU transparennt varnish, the surfaces must be clean, smooth, undamaged, dry and free of wax, dust and contaminants. Wipe to remove wax with White Spirit and plastic acid pad and wipe off while still wet. Cracks can be filled with our wood filler.
Apply evenly, finishing with a fine-quality brush in the direction of the grain. The first coat may be thinned with White Spirit (1 part to 8 parts clear coat) as a sealer applied to absorbent surfaces.
On wood usually 2 coats are sufficient. Cork and more absorbent surfaces require an additional coat.
Touch dry in approximately 2-4 hours, depending on the temperature and humidity.
Re-coat when the previous coat is hard dry, typically within 4-8 hours depending on the temperature and humidity.
Ideally 15-25°C. Do not use below 10°C or in conditions of high humidity.
14-16 sq.m per litre, 1 coat, depending on the absorbency of the surface.
The varnish takes approximately 24 hours to dry completely. Afterwards, it can be wiped down with a mild detergent solution if necessary to keep the surface clean. To restore the shine, a wax polish can be used. Worn areas can be repainted after cleaning, dewaxing and light sanding to provide keys.

The PU clear primer can be stored for many years if stored in its original airtight container under cool, dry conditions.
Flammable. Keep away from children and sources of ignition - no smoking. Avoid contact with eyes and skin, use only in well-ventilated areas.
